Bio

 

Dr Dini Sejko is  Associate Professor and Director of the Sovereign Wealth Funds Research Center at Sun Yat-sen University. His academic research focuses on international economic law and the transnational governance of sovereign investors. His teaching portfolio includes Public International Law, International Arbitration, Investment Arbitration, Transnational Legal Issues, World Trade Law, and the Transnational Law of Sovereign Investors.

 Dr Sejko acts as an arbitrator, mediator, and tribunal secretary. He is listed on the ICSID Panels of Arbitrators and Conciliators at the World Bank and on the rosters of several other institutions. He has advised governmental bodies, multinational corporations, and non-profit organisations on matters of dispute resolution and legislative drafting. Dr Sejko has worked on complex Chinese investment projects within the energy, infrastructure, and technology sectors across Southeast Asia and the European Union, with a focus on investment screening mechanisms and sanctions.

Dr Sejko has also been a Visiting Professor at the Peking University School of Transnational Law. In the Greater Bay Area, Dr Sejko has been involved in professional training activities for legal professionals accredited by the Hong Kong Law Society and the Asian Academy of International Law. He also conducts regular training for public officials at the Albanian School of Public Administration. Dr Sejko has taught at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Previously, he has held visiting research positions at the University of Melbourne, University College London, King’s College London, and the University of Leeds.

His scholarly work has been published in books, journal articles, and policy reports. His research has been recognised with awards and funding from prominent institutions, and he has been invited to speak at conferences organised by leading organisations such as Oxford University, University College London, Peking University, and the Society of International Economic Law.
