Biography:
From 2002 to 2006, Zhao Rui studied at Faculty of English Language and Culture of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. After graduation, she continued to pursue her M.A. degree at School of Interpreting and Translation Studies of the university. Since Aug. 2008, she has been teaching at SIS. She teaches various courses, including Comprehensive English, Consecutive Interpretation, Basic Interpreting, Topic-based Interpreting, etc. From Jul., 2010 to Jun., 2011, she went on an exchange to the English Department of University of Miami in America.
She has provided simultaneous and consecutive interpreting services for Australian Consulate-General, Netherlands Consulate-General, Tourism Administration of Guangdong Province, Zhuhai Municipal Government, Association of Chinese Students and Scholars at Yale, etc. Since 2010, she has been serving as an instructor of SIS for interpreting competitions, leading teams to participate in Guangdong LanCoo Cup English-Chinese Interpretation Contest, the Cross-Strait Interpreting Contest, and the CTPC Cup All China Interpreting Contest and awarded as for her excellent work as an instructor.
