Biography: 

Wang Zhiyan graduated from Peking University with a B.A. degree and a M.A. degree in Russian. From Nov., 1998 to Nov., 1999, she went to Pushkin Institute of Russian Language for advanced study funded by the government. She has been teaching for many years and has rich teaching experience. During her teaching in School of Foreign Languages in Beijing Normal University, Zhuhai, she was awarded for her excellent management work in the school and her outstanding performance as a member of the school. In Mar., 2012, she got her entry into the SIS of SYSU and was appointed as Chair of Department of Russian.

Mar., 2012- present Teaching at SIS of SYSU

Sept. 2006 – Feb. 2012: Teaching College Russian (compulsory course), Elementary Russian (required course) and College English (compulsory course) in School of Foreign Languages of Beijing Normal University, Zhuhai and also serving as Secretary of Teaching Affairs Office

Mar., 2005 - May., 2006: Teaching Chinese as a foreign language in CHIJ primary school of Singapore

Dec., 2000 - Mar., 2005: Teaching Russian and Chinese (in English) in Coleman College in Singapore

May., 2000 - Nov., 2000: Serving as office clerk and Russian translator in China Mechanical Oriental-Astor Joint Cargo Company
