Biography:Dr. Farid Ullah is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of International and Regional Studies, Sun Yat-sen University, China (2026–2028). He previously served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Fudan University (2022–2024) and completed his Ph.D. in World Economy (International Finance) from Sichuan University (2017–2021). He also holds an M.A. in International Relations, an MBA, and a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
Dr. Ullah is currently an Associate Professor at Abasyn University, Pakistan (2025–present) and a Research Associate at the Policy Research Institute (PRI), Pakistan (2022–present).
His research interests include World Economy and International Finance, International Politics and Political Economy, Digital Governance and Public Policy, Green Finance and ESG, Corporate Governance and CSR, FDI, Applied Econometrics, Exchange Rate Dynamics, Geopolitical Risk, Energy Economics, Risk Management, and International Business.
He has published over 20 papers in leading SSCI/SCIE journals such as Energy Policy, Energy, Journal of Environmental Management, Financial Innovation, Energy Strategy Reviews, Industrial Marketing Management, and Sustainability, and has contributed a Springer book chapter. He serves as a peer reviewer for 20+ journals with 70+ reviews completed.
Dr. Ullah has participated in 7 research projects, including 2 as PI and 5 funded national projects in China (Nos.: 17ZDA045, 19BJL075, 23BJY122, 16JJDGJW014, 2022BJB001).
