Undergraduate programs have always been considered the lifeline of SIS. In recent years our students have performed excellently on the Test for English Majors (TEM). We have maintained the pass rate for TEM-4 at 97%, 40% above the national average. In 2013, we scored a pass rate of 88.8% on TEM-8, 48% more than the national average. It’s also worth noting that despite the short history of non-English programs, students have also achieved outstanding results on different national language tests. In 2012, the pass rate of the Test for Spanish Majors Band 4 was 93%; the Test for Korean Majors Band 4, 100%; and the Test for Arabic Majors Band 4, 90%. In 2013, the pass rate of the Test for Russian Majors Band 4 was 86.21%.

 
SIS offers freshmen more flexible major choices. Since 2011, the School has taken both students’ interest and capacity into consideration, thus ensuring reasonable major arrangements.
